Cognitive/Psychological anomalies

part 1: Tulpamancy

Tulpamancy is basically a REAL world event where people can make imaginary characters inside their head that have their own sentience and act independantly. And the sentient characters are called "Tulpas" (hence the term "Tulpamancy") and theyre completely independant and have their own thoughts and personalities seperate from the person who made them. The way that it works is that the Tulpamancer (the creator of the Tulpa) writes consitently while pretending to be the character that theyre making, until it makes a seperate person in their brain. For example, if you wanted to have a Tulpa, you write a letter daily in their perspective while you pretend to be them. And over time (usually around a month) that character will have their own thought pattern inside your head. The reason why they have their own sentience is because the act of writing will start to make apart of your brain act independantly by rewiring it to think its that character, which makes it act like its own brain instead of the rest of your brain.

How to get a Tulpa step by step:

1. Choose your character for tulpamancy (already exisiting or your own character)
2. Analyze their personality, traits, voice, looks, and other features of the character so you can implement them better for more immersion
3. Write in their perspective daily (it can either be for a certain amount of time or amount of pages. for time id recomend 30 minutes to an hour, and for pages id recomend 1-2 pages. But time writing is more effective)
4. Vizualize the character for about 10 minutes before bed (Like still pretend to be them but also visualize what they look like so you can hallucinate them irl)
5. IMPORTANT: Tulpamancy is like learning a language. its just important that you do it consistently and not about how good you do or the intensity

part 2: Somnimanic states

I discovered this one by myself irl but I looked deeper into it and found more details. Basically the idea is that when you have low amounts of sleep (about 5 hours which isnt too bad) and paired with other factors, it can alter your perception to appear very adventurous and dreamlike like youre in a fictional world. But people who experience Somnimanic states also have issues in life prior to their state like trauma, stress, and mental illness. The reason why this works is because when youre brain is constantly getting low sleep and has issues than it needs to find a way to keep you engaged so it alters your perception to make things appear more fun like youre high but in a whimiscal way.(I came up with the name btw cuz i couldnt find an actual name for it)

types of people to have hsitorically had somnimanic states

• drug users (not sure which specific drugs though)
• people with lots of anxiety and stress
• people with ADHD or ADD
• people with psychoschizo disorders
• people with recent trauma
• people with sleep disorders (or even poor sleep habits) like insomnia or narcolepsy

the method of achieving a somnimanic episode is pretty simple unlike tulpamancy. Just sleep around 5 hours at at inconvienient schedule (like sleeping 5 hours in the day but being up the rest of the time) and repeat consistently. The time usually takes a week. (sleep time can vary of course)

Part 3: Dream incubation

Dream incubation is the process of being able to control what you dream about (not the same as lucid dreaming though because lucid dreaming has a different process and youre aware inside your dream) And it works by focusing on a certain theme for a while during meditation before sleep and once asleep the brain will process the theme more and start to dream about it.

guide for dream incubation:

1. Identify what you want to dream about (Make it clear and simple)
2. Write a question you have about the theme (Makes the brain think about it more during sleep)
3. Meditate for a prefered amount of time (id recommend 15 minutes)
4. repeatedly ask the question to yourself as you drift off to engrave the theme more
5. After you fall asleep and have the chosen dream, record it in a dream journal so it gets easier
6. Analyze the dream so you can improve the next time you do it and understand what happened

keep in mind that it wont go exactly how you want it to for the first few times but after practice you can do it effortlessly

part 4: Shared dreaming

The idea of shared reaming is super basic but in actual expanation and principal its super complex and odd. Obviously shared dreaming just means when multiple people can expereince the same dream. And while it sounds fake at first, there have been real experiments and methods done on it that actually prove that its more likely for shared dreaming to be real. additonally my partner and I have actually tested it before and had an insanely similar dream although a few key details were missing (will explain the process soon)

The gateway tapes

The gateway tapes are a series of audio files that were desinged to unite the hemispheres of the users brain which caused lots of strange psychological effects like hallucinations, out of body experiences, claimed psychic abilities and more. Personally i dont even doubt the psychic abilities part as many users were tested on it and reported having higher levels of social perception to the point where they could predict peoples behavior. So its not the same thing as reading minds but i think its pretty cool anyways.

Side affects include

• Strong but harmless hallucinations (like experiencing something random but it turns out it didnt happen)
• Out of body experiences (suprisingly popular amongst users)
• Stronger social intuition (Pyschic abilities kind of)
• Better focus + metacognition abilities

Psychic government branch

Suprisingly enough, psychic experimenting has been a huge deal that the government still does even after MK Ultra (which youve probably already heard about but in case if you havent it was when the government was paranoid about Russia developing psychic powers so they experimented on people using methemphatamines to unlock those abilties but it only caused a lot of issues) But after that the experiments were a lot more humane and didnt involve torturing people lol. But psychic experiments objectively STILL happen.

Experiments and processes

• The first thing they tested actually was in schools and this still happens. The idea is that they wanted to see how many children might potentially have psychic abilities so they organized schools to carry out these innocently seeming tasks where theyd have kids play a game in which theyd randomly guess a number between 1 and 12 and theyd get points based on how closely they got to the correct number. when they reviewed the results it turned out that a lot more kids got very high scores then what should statistically be possible. However the experiments faced criticism but it still happens anyways so i dont think the government cares lol
• Another experiment that took place was about telepathy, the ability to transmit data into someones mind or also read others minds. The experiment was done by having one person stand in a room and look at a view-master (the things that you hold up to your eyes and scroll through the pictures) and inside were pictures of Las Vegas. While another person would be in the other room and try to read what the person was seeing and suprisingly they made very accurate statements about the pictures in the other room and was able to understand that it was a city, there was a bar, lots of mult-colored lights and even accurately predict that they were looking at Las Vegas even though they were in different rooms. It was also discovered that the results were more clear and accurate when the persons senses were limited by putting on noise canceling headphones or white noise and covering the eyes, so thats a pro tip in case if you have telepathy and your reading this.
• The next experiments they did were super shocking and about clairvoyance which is the ability to remote view things without being there. And to do the experiment they had this ex-police officer who claimed that he had clairvoyance and they had him sit in a electric cage to stop radio signals from coming in so he couldnt cheat. And then they had one of the experimenters drive off into a random location in the city and the psychic officer guy would have to use his supposed ability to see where he went. And shockingly he got it VERY correct and they repeated it and got it right multiple times. And then they suspected that he might be able to predict where they driver went based on where HE would go, so they did another try where they had a machine completely randomize the path and he still got it. He could even read using clairvoyance which is appaerently super impressive according to others who have it. And the experiment has been replicated and they also discovered that people could predict where others would be in the future as well (this was done super briefly however so its not as thorough as the other experiments).

• Angels heaven (this one is a cult-like page that talks about trying to escape the earth during a religious apocalypse scenario and has real followers)
• Divine interventions (This one is the most controversial because its about "bible related sex toys" which is obviously not taken well by most people also im not gonna put a link for that one lol)
• Fancy island (this is a horror website thats supposed to act as a horror endurance test and it starts off with a cute page and then gets more disturbing but the game is actually pretty fun)

Internet ARGs (that are actually disturbing)

In this section ill be listing ARGs that are actually somewhat unpopular but disturbing rather than slop-ARGs like the ones made by large companies or on minecraft lol

• Shipwrecked 64 ARG

This one is the most popular on the list and its a mario-like 64 bit game that gets progressively more disturbing

• blowtown archive ARG

This one isnt that scary at all but i put it on here anyways because i liked it when i was little and it was kinda good as far as most ARGs go (as you might guess, im not a huge fan of ARGs lol, they have pretty bad writing and arent really scary)

slop ARGs that you should stay away from

• any ARG made by a brand or company

• Any ARG made by slop content like youtube shorts or any short form slop content in general

Weird internet fetishes

This is going to be an encyclopedic like list of the weirdest internet fetishes i could find, but not like the common ones like mpreg, although thats definetely pretty bizarre, ill focus on lesser known ones that are more hidden and bizarre. Also this list isnt to judge anyone who partakes in these activities, this is just for a weird and fun section (also i wont be putting any links for any of the things here, other than videos that talk about them, for obvious reasons)

• Dragons with cars fetish

This fetish is weirdly specific and its about a fetish where dragons have intercourse with cars, like they stick it in the tail pipe lmao. Although this one is suprisingly (somewhat) popular and theres even been news articles talking about it and how it should stop. Its certaintly a weird one but I dont see a reason for it to be banned or anything as its not hurting anyone, its just a little odd

• Zoomorhpophilia (ZooMoprhs)

This one is the FIRST weird internet fetish ive come across and the idea is that the fetish is about bioengineering people (usually women) into animals against their consent. It usually also comes with a story in the caption that usually follows the same pattern. A girl is living a happy life and shes attractive and smart and whatnot and then she gets kidnapped and turned into a domesticated animal like a dog or a cow and then now shes miserable. The stories specifically elaborate on the misery part a lot, as that seems to be an important part of the fetish. This one is less heard of then others because its mostly elderly men indulging in this fetish and not any young people. The creepiest part about it is that it falls into the uncanny valley because it doesnt use cartoonish art like furries do, it uses realistic photo-shopped effects which make the fetish pretty unnerving to look at.

• Apotemnophilia (Amputee fetish)

This one can be a little disturbing, but the idea is that the person with the fetish has the desire to become an amputee (usually through extremely violent injuries), which gives them sexual gratification. This fetish is also associated with BIID, which is a mental disorder that gives someone the urge to make drastic changes to their body like making themselves blind or taking off their legs, although BIID doesnt directly give the victim sexual gratification, its still very much coorelated to apotemnophilia due to the similar themes. And many people with apotemnophilia have also reportedly had BIID. One of the most popular examples of this is the hook-hands-lady, which was an about me page written by a women who claims to have the intense desire to get into an accident, lose both of her hands, and replace them with 5x stainless steel hooks (sexy ig) Similarly there is acrotomophilia which is the fetish of people who are amputees, but not wanting to be one.

• Mechanophilia (fetish of vehicles)

This is the fetish of vehicles, mostly cars and airplanes. This has been shown on television (like TLC) and its not too weird compared to other fetishes, However it can be dangerous as multiple people with mechanophilia have attempted to have intercourse with the tailpipes of cars, which obvioulsy isnt very bright and has let to lots of injuries and even death. Although multiple people with mechanophilia have reported to have perfectly fine reasoning abilities and aknowledge that their preference is unorthrodox but that they wouldnt do anything dangerous and they dont mean any harm to anyone else either, so its mostly just a small percentage of people with Mechanophilia who have ACTUALLY done dangerous activities with vehicles.

Internet cults

Cult #1: 764 (TW for topics like self harm, animal abuse, and SA)

764 is one of the most disturbing interent cults to date. The idea was that it was a discord group that would find children on apps like roblox and instagram and would manipulate them into forming a relationship with the members before inviting them to the dsicord group. Then once the victim was added, they would blackmail them into perfroming sexual acts, self harm, and animal abuse on the live face time calls. Its also noteable that 764 shouldve gotten caught way sooner, as most of the members consisted of dumb, edgy, neo-nazi teenagers that made multiple mistakes like typos in their own official banner. This led lots of people to make theories that 764 had ties to the FBI in some way, as they were also reported multiple times but the FBI didnt do anything about it. However its very unlikely that theyd have anything to do with the FBI, and the fact that they didnt get caught sooner was mostly because of discords security system making it harder to catch them.

• 764 would indoctrinate minors by finding them on Roblox, and then pretending to be in a relationship with the minor to build trust with them before inviting them to the discord server. Then once in the server, they would make them perform sadistic rituals to make them a member, like making the child cut off their hair, making them cut themselves, and making them harm animals. Its also important to note that they would target children in the LGBTQ+ community and children with mental health issues, as the 764 members considered them easier to manipulate
• The Animal abuse was a very reoccuring theme. As the children would be forced to harm their own household pets while on video call. This led to actual animal deaths like cats and hampsters being strangled and suffocated by their owners because the members on 764 would make them and threaten them if they didnt.
• Ultimately, 764 was caught by multiple factors like people in the discord channel who didnt support it and ended up reporting it, which also shows that the security of the group wasnt very good as almost anyone could join and see what they were doing. Also multiple members, like Angel Almeida, would get arrested for other unrelated crimes like firearm possesion, and during the law enforcements investigation of them, theyd find their online activity on the 764 discord channel.

Angels heaven (What the Agartha meme originated from)

If you checked out the link before, Angels Heaven is an actual cult webpage and its also what the Agartha meme originated from which is pretty cool. Although Agartha is about an mystical civilization in the artic and only white people are allowed so it doesnt have the same belief system as the meme. The actual thing they believe is that aliens will ascend them into a higher plane of existence (heaven) and it relies mostly on Angels being seen as aliens. And they believe that earth is ruled by luciferians which are ANOTHER alien race but theyre evil, and thats why they wanted to leave it so bad.

Havana syndrome

Recently theres been a lot of news stories about a weapon that the US government has access to that is designed to fry brains and limit cognitive function. This started when multiple US soldiers would report having a weapon tested on them that would damage their ears and cause cell decay, and would stop them from being able to focus, think logically, or perform mental tasks shortly after. The government denied these claims of course but it was later revealed that they had possesion of a portable weapon that literally does exactly what the victims reported. Its a small firearm-like device that uses microwave patterns to disrupt clear thinking. Its not too suprising that theyd keep it a secret tbh but it is pretty crazy that something like that exist. It kinda reminds me of something out of despicable me lol

Sigils

I found this on 4chan so of course its some schizo stuff but there are HUGE communities of people who use sigils and claim that they grant magical effects with full confidence.

Its similar to the manifestation community because the sigils are used to manifest things like wealth, romance, or more. And thats totally fine because manifestation does use real psychological affects, mostly the placebo affect, meaning that it is backed by real things.

The weird thing about these sigil practices however is that they use very concerning methods like sexual gratification, self harm, and even animal abuse to achieve their "manifestation".

Multiple members of sigils communities claim that in order to activate their sigil, they need to put their semen on it (dead serious btw), blood on it, or a dead animal on it. Obviously nutting on the sigil is a little odd but its still harmless so i wont be talking about it as much, however self harm and harming animals over a sigil is very concerning.

They also go in detail on how to do these things, like users will encourage others to use certain materials to harm themselves like gold or silver. And they have super specific guidelines for how to kill the animal and sacrifice it.

Hidden ARG games in roblox

Theres actually a hidden category of roblox games where the premise is that you wander around an open space environment, usually in an roleplay world, but the game secretly has hidden lore that youd only figure out if you were paying close attention instead of being a casual player. and i LOVE these games tbh, theyre my favorite type on roblox even though they dont have a name for the category.

demonology

started studying this because I thought it was interesting. Basically demonology as you may have guessed is the study of demons.

Demons are defined as being supernatural entities that inflict evil and other things like disease, mental illness, and other affects on to humans, so the range of them is huge because technically yo kai are considered demons by that logic, so its not just the christian things with red skin and horns that you would usually think of.

Major demon types include:

• Devils: Christian demons that are fallen angels led by Satan and actively manipulate and deceive humans
• Jinn: Beings made of pure fire but they have free will and can either be evil or good
• Asuras: Asuras are supernatural entities that hate gods and try to oppose them
